Third Place Video - Carol Newby and Team

An entry to the International Year of Chemistry 2011 video contest by the Polymer Division of the IUPAC.

This video was written and edited by Melissa Kunkel. Melissa is a senior at Cornell University majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. To gain experience for the future she works in a lab that conducts research on polymers for electronics. Carol Newby is a graduate student in that lab and she helped film the movie and did some of the voiceovers. Melissa and Carol's aim was to make a movie that illustrated how polymers have found utility in many areas (not just drinks bottles...) by demonstrating, from start to finish, how polymers are use to make the miniaturized circuits in all electronics.
